Being one of the main quaternary tablecloths in the in southeastern Morocco, the water table of Tafilalet is considered a vital resource of the riparian population in water.
The objective of this work was to evaluate the water quality of the water table of Tafilalet. In effect, after having carried out a bibliographical study and realization of an inventory on the anthropogenic activities and on the main hotbeds of pollution, it has exploited the results of the physicochemical measurements performed on a network of points of water that covers the whole of the area studied.
In this study, we have drawn the following conclusions :
- A significant degradation of the water quality of the water table of Tafilalet due to the infiltration of mineral salts and other elements mobilized by the irrigation waters, This degradation is aggravated in the locations where there are domestic discharges and other pollution areas (downstream areas of the Rissani and Erfoud centers).
-Some higher levels that are saved to the shelter of the areas of pollution e (case of the upstream of Jorf) can be explained by the decline of the water which minimizes the process of dilution that often plays a very important role in the waters Auto-purification.
Although the groundwater in the region are characterized by a high mineralization and the role of the climate factor in the deterioration of the quality, the examination of the documents developed as well the analysis of the data of the occupation of the ground, appears clearly that the poor quality of the waters of the water table is caused in large part by the anthropogenic factors (urban and agricultural pollution).
