The complexity of operations and conflicting objectives make urban transport a controversial issue. It plays an important role in the economic and social development of the city, but its externalities on sustainable development and especially on the environment cannot be neglected.
With this in mind, this article attempts to take stock of freight transport in the city of Fez and its impact on the environment.
An exploratory survey and a literature review allowed us to identify the impacts that affect the most the quality of life of the inhabitants: noise pollution, air pollution, and energy consumption.
The measurements of each of these impacts will allow us to develop an assessment of the environmental situation of the city and the analysis of the results obtained will allow us to draw a number of conclusions that we will present in the form of recommendations.
